Wipe any loose dirt, mud, grass, debris off the sneakers.

Wet the outsides of your sneakers with a damp towel or paper towel. Your sneakers shouldn't be soaked, only wet enough to allow toothpaste to foam.

Toothpaste is a very effective cleaner on leather sneakers. Simply dab a small amount of toothpaste onto your shoes, especially around any bad stains or scuffs.

Rub the toothpaste in with your fingers.
